§ Mr. McENTEEasked the President of the Board of Trade what countries give a bounty for the export of wheat, barley, oats, and potatoes to this country; and what action is being taken to counteract the effects of the bounties?
§ Mr. RUNCIMANI have no complete information on this subject but I can say, generally, that several European countries give assistance to agriculture which may or may not amount in practice to a bounty on export. As regards counteracting measures, it is not possible to deal adequately with the Government's agricultural policy within the limits of an answer to a question.
