HC Deb 09 May 1932 vol 265 c1560W
Mr. HALL-CAINE

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether there has recently been any relaxation of the censorship of British and other Press correspondence in Soviet Russia; and, if not, whether he proposes to make any further protests in the near future?

Sir J. SIMON

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. As regards the second part, the degree of censorship applied to foreign Press correspondence is necessarily in the hands of the country which imposes it.
