HC Deb 07 July 1932 vol 268 c640W
Sir E. SHEPPERSON

asked the Minister of Transport what is the expenditure per mile per year on the first-and second-class roads in each county of England; and what is the expenditure on these roads per head of county population in each county?

Mr. PYBUS

I regret that information is not available county by county, but the estimated total expenditure and expenditure per mile on maintenance and minor improvements on Class I and Class II roads and bridges in Great Britain, and the actual expenditure per head of population, is contained in Appendices 13 and 14 of the report on the Road Fund for 1930–31 and previous years.
