asked the Minister of Labour what was the number of people employed in the woollen industry in June, 1931, and at the latest available date?

The estimated number of insured persons in the woollen and worsted industry classification in Great Britain at July, 1931, the latest date for which figures are available, was 237,750; the number recorded as unemployed was 78,581 at 22nd June, 1931, and 60,630 at 23rd May, 1932.
