Mr. HUDSONThese figures are available only for dates towards the end of each month. They are obtained by deducting from the estimated total numbers insured the numbers recorded as unemployed or directly involved in trade disputes together with an allowance of 3½ per cent. of the numbers insured in respect of persons absent from work through sickness and other forms of unrecorded non-employment other than holidays.
