asked the First Lord of the Admiralty what steps are being taken or contemplated by the Admiralty to prevent the proposed erection of a pier opposite the battery at the headquarters of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve at Hove?

We are at present in communication with the promoters of the pier scheme, and our action must depend on their willingness and ability to comply with necessary naval requirements.
