§ Mr. BALDWINThe total personnel employed in the Historical Section of the Committee of Imperial Defence, which is responsible for the compilation of the Official Histories of the War, is 31. The total cost to the public for the current financial year is approximately £13.000. It is hoped that the bulk of the work will be completed by 1938; meanwhile expenditure on the work is being reduced year by year.
