HC Deb 08 December 1932 vol 272 c1804W
Mr. HICKS

asked the Minister of Health if any local authority in the London district has built three-bedroomed houses to let at a rental of 10s. a week inclusive of rates; and, if so, will he give particulars?

Sir H. YOUNG

Local authorities are not required to furnish me with particulars of the rentals charged by them, and I regret that the information asked for is not, therefore, available in my Department.

Mr. HICKS

asked the Minister of Health the number of houses in the London district not structurally subdivided and occupied by two or more families?

Sir H. YOUNG

I regret that this information is not available. The number of structurally separate dwellings occupied by two or more private families apiece and enumerated in the Census of 1931 including maisonnettes and flats formed by the structural partition of the houses was 293,303. I should add that "a separate private family" for the purpose of the Census may consist of one person.

Mr. BANFIELD

asked the Minister of Health particulars of the rents and accommodation of houses in the Metropolitan police area owned by local authorities?

Sir H. YOUNG

I regret that the desired particulars are not available.
