asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies the quantity and value of sugar grown in Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad, St. Lucia, and Natal in the years 1927, 1928, 1929 and 1930 respectively; and how much of this was sent to Britain, how much to other parts of the British Empire, and how much to countries outside of the Empire for each of the years named?

As regards the four Colonies mentioned, the information desired by the Noble Lady will be found in the Blue Books issued annually by the Governments concerned, and in the Statistical Abstract issued by the Board of Trade. The figures would be too voluminous for reproduction in a Parliamentary reply, but I am sending a statement of them to the Noble Lady.
