HC Deb 26 November 1931 vol 260 c529W
Mr. REMER

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty the details of the contracts placed by the Admiralty for tea during the last 10 years, stating the amounts of these contracts and the names of the successful firms tendering?

Sir B. EYRES MONSELL

The quantity of tea purchased during the last 10 years has averaged about 1,200,000 lbs. per annum, all of Indian or Ceylon origin. It is not in the public interest to publish details of the contracts.
