§ Sir H. BETTERTONUp to 9th November, 1931, courts of referees in Great Britain had considered the claims of 7,706 seasonal workers under the Anomalies Regulations and had disallowed benefit in 5,842 cases.

WILLIAMSasked the Minister of Labour if he is aware that Miss Ada Slater, of 38, Darcy Close, Manor Estate, Attercliffe, who has 11 years' stamps to her credit but who, 18 months since, accepted domestic service and is now unemployed, has been refused benefit and the right of appeal; and why, in view of Sub-section (4) of Section 5 of the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1927, as amended by Section 7 of the 1930 Act, the above decision was given?
