§ Miss BONDFIELDThe number of persons on the registers of the Employment Exchanges in Great Britain was 1,677,473 on 31st March, 1930, and 2,581,030 on 30th March, 1931. In Germany 3,040,797 persons were recorded by the German public Employment Exchanges as unemployed on 31st March, 1930, and 4,743,931 on 31st March, 1931.
