§ Dr. SHIELSMy Noble Friend is not in a position to furnish the desired figures for 1900 or any earlier year. The trade returns of the East African Dependencies do not show agricultural chemical manures as a separate item, but the table below gives such information as is available. As the figures for 1930 have not yet been received from all the Dependencies, those for 1929 have been inserted in the cases noted.
