Mr. W. ADAMSONIn calculating the average cost per patient at the institutions referred to, no distinction is drawn between children and adult patients. I am informed that during the year ended 31st May, 1930, the latest period for which information is available, the average daily cost per patient was 7s. 5d. at Bell-field Sanatorium and 5s. 4d. at Robroyston Hospital. No figure of any value can be given in respect of Mearnskirk Hospital, as during the period referred to the average daily number of patients in the institution, then recently opened, was only three, and the average cost per patient for the year ended 31st May, 1931, is not yet available.
