Mr. PETHIEK-LAWRENCEAs regards non-industrial whole-time staffs, the numbers within the various limits of salary and bonus referred to in the question are approximately as follow:
£3 per week and less … 94,000 £4 per week and less … 174,000 £5 per week and less … 205,000 Over £5 per week … 61,000 The totals in the second and third categories include those in the category preceding them. Included in these three figures are 27;000 non-adults. Part-time staffs are excluded in all cases. Similar information is not available as regards industrial staffs numbering approximately 123,400. I regret that the figures required for the reply to the second part of the question are not available.
