Mr. W. ADAMSONIn the year ended 15th May, 1930, the assistance granted under Section 4 of the Education (Scotland) Act, 1918, to students attending universities amounted to £73,000. The available statistics do not enable me to give a figure in respect of students who received part of their education at primary schools, but it may be taken that the greater part of the expenditure was in respect of such students.
