HC Deb 12 February 1931 vol 248 c611W
Mr. LOVAT-FRASER

asked the Minister of Health how many children over the age of three years are living in the Aylsham institution?

Mr. GREENWOOD

There were at the end of January, 28 children over three in the Aylsham institution. I recently called the attention of the Norfolk County Council to the need for children's homes in the county and am informed that a sub-committee has been appointed to consider the question.

Mr. LOVAT-FRASER

asked the Minister of Health if he is aware that 15 children over the age of three are living in Poor Law institutions in Carnarvonshire, contrary to the regulations of the Ministry, and if he will take steps to remove them?

Mr. GREENWOOD

I have been in correspondence with the county council on this subject, and I understand that all children over three, other than those in sick wards, halve now been removed from the institutions.
