HC Deb 05 February 1931 vol 247 c2132W
Lieut. - Colonel ACLAND - TROYTE

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will consider allowing the telephone to be installed in the houses of district nurses at a reduced rate, or, failing this, allowing only the private residence rate to be charged even when the name of the nursing association appears in the telephone directory?

Mr. VIANT

The residential rate already applies in any case where nursing is not carried on at the house and where the entry in the telephone directory makes no reference to the nurse's profession. I regret that I am unable to make any further concession.
