HC Deb 04 February 1931 vol 247 cc1834-5W
Sir D. NEWTON

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether he is aware that there is serious overcrowding in the offices of His Majesty's inspectors of taxes and their staffs at Cambridge, necessitating the removal of filing presses to the public corridors; and whether it is proposed to obtain alternative accommodation?

Mr. LANSBURY

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. In regard to the second part, every effort has been made to secure alternative accommodation, so far without success, and I am advised that it may not be possible to meet the requirements of this office until the early part of next year.
