Mr. ALEXANDERThe number of applications for enlistment in the Royal1822W Navy and Royal Marines made in 1930 was 42,863, and of these 2,697 were accepted. The number of applications do not include those who failed for supply probationers, artificer apprentices and naval shipwright apprentices in competitive examinations.
