HC Deb 20 April 1931 vol 251 c631W
Mr. MACLEAN

asked the Minister of Pensions if any part of a pension paid to the widow of a man killed in the War is deducted for the maintenance of a daughter who is confined in an industrial school?

Mr. F. O. ROBERTS

The widow's flat rate pension would not be reduced in respect of a daughter maintained in an industrial school, but any additional allowance in respect of that particular child would be withheld. A corresponding adjustment would be made where a widow's alternative pension is in payment.
