Captain BALFOURasked the Minister of Pensions if he is aware that Mr. Graves, of 12, Liverpool Gardens, Ramsgate, has now been admitted to the Ministry hospital at Roehampton for six weeks; that Mrs. Graves has not yet received any allowances, in spite of repeated applications; and that Mrs. Graves has had as a consequence to obtain help from outside sources; and if, in view of these facts, he will take steps to ensure that moneys to which she is entitled shall be paid forthwith?
§ Mr. F. O. ROBERTSI have inquired carefully into the facts of this case. I find, however, that the patient referred to does not fulfil the conditions of the Warrant entitling him to allowances during his period of stay in hospital. Having regard, however, to all the circumstances of the case, I have been able to arrange for a special grant to be made to Mrs. Graves.
