§ Dr. SHIELSI have been asked to reply to this question. The Transjordan Frontier Force is administered by the Colonial Office and not by the War Office. The following personnel of the British Army are seconded for service in this force:—officers, 11; warrant and noncommissioned officers, 5; other ranks, O. A grant-in-aid of £175,000 towards the cost of the force is being made by His Majesty's Government to the Palestine Government for the current financial year.
