§ Mr. SHINWELLThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. Three of the riders did not directly arise from or have any immediate relation to the accident at Lyme pits, and therefore did not come within the scope of the official inquiry. With regard to the second part, these matters cannot be dealt with within the limits of question and answer, since a number of technical considerations are involved. I shall be glad, however, to discuss them with my hon. Friend whenever he wishes.
