§ Miss LAWRENCEIt is the general practice of local authorities to include provision for the reservation of land for open spaces in their town-planning schemes and proposals, which cover almost all the building land round London. The extent of the land to be so reserved is primarily a matter for the local authorities themselves, on whom the compensation or cost of acquisition falls, but my right hon. Friend constantly urges local authorities to make additional open space provision in their schemes so far as their resources will allow. The Greater London Regional Planning Committee are considering the general question of open spaces for the Greater London area.
