asked the Minister of Transport what steps he proposes to take with regard to the projected new Charing Cross bridge?

The question of the action to be taken as a result of the rejection by a Select Committee of this House of the London County Council (Charing Cross Bridge) Bill is a matter for the London County Council as the promoters of the Bill to decide. As the hon. Member will no doubt have observed from the reports in the Press, the matter was considered at the council meeting held yesterday, but no definite decision was reached.
