§ Mr. CLYNESI hope shortly to introduce a simplified procedure as to applications for naturalisation. There will, of course, be no relaxation of the strict inquiry which is made in all cases before a certificate is granted; and I do not intend to ask Parliament to alter the statutory provisions in this matter.
