HC Deb 20 March 1930 vol 236 cc2157-8W
Sir N. MOORE

asked the Minister of Labour if she will arrange that, in the event of additional staff being required in the Claims and Record Office, Kew, consequent upon the operation of the last Unemployment Insurance Act, those temporary ex-service clerks recently discharged or transferred from that department to purely casual posts in other Government Departments shall he recalled to the Claims and Record Office?

Miss BONDFIELD

It is not anticipated that any increase in staff at the Claims and Record Office, Kew, will be required in the near future. Any vacancies for temporary clerks occurring will be notified to the Joint Substitution Board in accordance with the usual procedure, and special consideration will be given to the claims of any clerks on the register of the Board who have had previous service in this office.
