The average superficial areas of A-type non-parlour houses included in contracts let by or in direct labour schemes of local authorities in England and Wales during the month of January in the years 1928, 1929, and 1930 were 785, 761, and 749 feet, respectively. Separate particulars as to the average areas of houses erected under the Housing Act, 1923, and the Housing (Financial Provisions) Act, 1924, respectively, are not available.
