§ Mr. MANDERasked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will give a list of the newspapers circulating 1364W in the United Kingdom and the trade papers in which advertisements under the heading of Empire Buying were inserted during the past year by the Empire Marketing Board, and the amount paid to each paper?
Mr. THOMASThe Empire Marketing Board have, during the past year, advertised in over 300 papers, circulating in all parts of the United Kingdom. I am afraid that I am unable to give the detailed information asked for by the hon. Member in view of the amount of labour and the cost that would be involved in compiling and printing a list of the papers used and the amounts paid to each.
