CUNLIFFE-LISTERasked the Postmaster-General whether it is the intention of the Post Office to extend the facilities for the transaction of Savings Bank and Inland Revenue business on Bank Holidays to other post offices in the London district where these facilities are not already provided; and, if so, what is the estimated cost?
§ Mr. LEES-SMITHSavings Bank and Inland Revenue business has not hitherto been transacted in London on Bank Holidays. On Whit Monday and on future Bank Holidays these classes of business will be transacted at those Post Offices in London which are open on those days. The cost of this extension will be negligible.
