§ Miss BONDFIELDDuring the period 1st June, 1929, to 30th June, 1930, the total estimated cost of schemes of work for the relief of unemployment, to be financed by way of loan, which were approved through the Unemployment Grants Committee for grant from Exchequer funds, was £37,203,000. The present value of the estimated Exchequer grant, in respect of these schemes, is £14,595,000, approximately 39 per cent.
