§ Mr. GREENWOODIn England and Wales work has been in progress since May last on 89 slum clearance schemes, three of which, involving the provision of re-housing accommodation for 697 persons, were completed by 30th September last, the latest date to which figures are at present available. Eight schemes of this kind have been submitted during the period in question, none of which has yet been confirmed.
