§ Mr. HACKINGasked the Prime Minister how many committees of inquiry have been set up since the present Government assumed office and the total estimated cost of the inquiries?
§ Mr. PETHICK-LAWRENCEI would refer the hon. Member to the information furnished by the Prime Minister in his answers given on 15th and 21st November last. Since the latter date the appointment of nine further committees has been announced. No reliable estimate of total cost can be given, since it is not possible to forecast the respective dates on which the various bodies will conclude their deliberations.
