Friend are not available, but the following statement shows the number of State assisted houses included in direct labour schemes of local authorities in England and Wales which have been approved since 1st January, 1919:

The number 1746W of local authorities concerned is approximately 120. 25,903 houses approved under the Acts of 1923 and 1924 had been completed by the 31st December, 1929.
