§ Rear-Admiral BEAMISHasked the Minister of Health whether he has received representations from local authorities suggesting an amendment of the law to enable them to take proceedings in respect of offences at any time against the Children Act, 1908, and also an amendment of Part I of the Children Act, 1908, to compel intending foster parents to register their premises with the local authorities before receiving any nurse infants; and what action he proposes to take?
§ Mr. GREENWOODIn so far as the question relates to Part I of the Children Act, 1908, which is the only part of the630W Act affecting my Department, I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the reply given to the hon. Member for Gillingham (Sir R. Gower) on 29th January. Any question relating to the remainder of the Act should be addressed to my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary.
