PENNYasked the Minister of Transport whether he will consider the advisability in the Road Traffic Bill of making it obligatory for all stationary vehicles on country roads at night to be turned the way traffic is going so that overtaking vehicles will see a red rear-light instead of white head-lights, which on misty nights are apt to be mistaken for an on-coming vehicle?
§ Mr. HERBERT MORRISONI would draw the hon. Member's attention to the provisions of Clause 48 of the Road Traffic Bill under which it would be an offence to permit a vehicle to remain at rest on any road in such a position or in such condition or such circumstances as to be likely to cause danger to other persons using the road.
