§ Mr. MELLERasked the Minister of Pensions whether his attention has been called to the case of Ernest Edgar Hope, pension No. D.D.U. 1193, in respect of whom a dependant's allowance was granted to his parents; whether he is aware that on the father's death the allowance was withdrawn; and will he take steps to authorise its continuance to the mother?
§ Mr. F. O. ROBERTSThe first intimation of the father's death in this case was only received on 29th January. The pension, having been granted to the father, necessarily ceased to be issuable at his death, but the application for transfer of the pension to the widow which has now been made is under consideration and will be dealt with promptly.
