§ Mr. BLINDELLasked the Minister of Agriculture what steps have been taken to put into operation the Government's policy to stabilise prices for agricultural produce; and whether he has taken, or proposes to take, action in order to stabilise prices for the growers of British potatoes?
§ Mr. N. BUXTONIn regard to the first part of the question, I am not in a position to add anything to the answer I gave to the question by the Noble Lord the Member for Horsham (Earl Winterton) on 23rd December, a copy of which I am sending to the hon. Member. In regard to the second part of the question, the stabilisation of potato prices 1523W is primarily a marketing problem, and I would refer my hon. Friend to the answers which I gave on 4th December and 16th December to questions on this subject, copies of which I am also sending him.
