SOMERVILLEasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the British representative in China has presented to the Chinese Government, for settlement, a statement of British financial claims for which no provision has yet been made by the Chinese Government; and, if not, whether he will do so in connection with the pending adjustment of China's international obligations?
Mr. A. HENDERSONHis Majesty's Minister is taking steps to obtain a full list of British financial claims against the Chinese Government. As soon as this list has been prepared, it will be submitted to the Chinese Government.
