§ Viscount WOLMERasked the Minister of Agriculture the cost of carrying into effect the two resolutions passed by the agricultural conference in regard to supplying home-grown produce to Crown forces and public institutions, quoted at the end of the communiqué he issued to the Press on 19th March?
§ Mr. N. BUXTONIt is estimated that the increased annual cost which would be incurred in supplying the Forces at home with fresh beef would be about £430,000. I am unable to state what extra cost, if any, would be involved in supplying flour and bread made from home-grown wheat to the Forces. I am not in a position to form any estimate of the increased cost which would be in-2192W volved in supplying home-grown produce to public institutions
