Dr. VERNON DAVIESasked the Minister of Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that under the Local Government Act, 1929, many district medical officers and public vaccinators who have been members of county councils and county borough councils are ineligible for future membership unless they forfeit their appointments; 'and, as the experience of such members in health matters is of much value, will he consider some means by which the services of these practitioners can, when desired, be utilised on such county and county borough councils?
§ Mr. GREENWOODThis matter has been before the Royal Commission on Local Government. Their Report will be issued shortly, and any recommendation made will be duly considered.
