HC Deb 31 October 1929 vol 231 c336W
Sir F. HALL

asked the Lord Privy Seal whether any definite allocation of duties has been defined as between the Lord Privy Seal, the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, and the Minister of Transport in respect of the steps which are being taken from time to time to expedite work for which normally the Minister of Transport is responsible; and if he will state for the information of the House the nature of the arrangements which have been made?

Mr. THOMAS

On matters of general policy which concern the Government's plans for dealing with unemployment the Ministers concerned act in full consultation with one another. The necessary executive action is taken by the responsible Minister through the appropriate Department.
