Mr. ADAMSONThe total capital expenditure incurred by education authorities in Scotland in respect of the purchase of sites and buildings and the erection, enlargement and alteration of school buildings since 1st April, 1924, was £4,475,000. To apportion this amount under the heads mentioned in the question would necessitate a lengthy investigation and I hope, therefore, that the figure I have given will be accepted as sufficient.
