§ Lord FERMOYasked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been called to the dangerous level crossing at Tennyson Avenue, King's Lynn, and the need for a bridge or tunnel to replace it; whether he will make representations to the railway company concerned; and whether it is possible for the scheme of replacement to be assisted out of the sums of money set aside by Parliament in the shape of guarantees and grants for undertakings of this nature?
§ Mr. HERBERT MORRISONI am aware of the facts concerning the level crossing at Tennyson Avenue, King's Lynn, and a deputation of the town council has been recently received on this subject by an officer of my Department. I understand that the town council are to consult with the company with a view to the submission of definite proposals for a bridge or subway. I shall then be prepared to consider an application for a grant from the Road Fund towards so much of the cost as will fall upon the corporation.
