HC Deb 01 November 1929 vol 231 c482W
Sir B. FALLE

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether, seeing that the original medical history sheet of John William Kidby, pension No. 5,781, which recorded a serious accident sustained by Kidby in January, 1912, with subsequent complications, has been lost, and that the loss of this original history sheet prejudiced Kidby's claim to a disability pension, he will reconsider this case?

Mr. AMMON

Full particulars of the injury sustained by Kirby are known to the Admiralty, and he has been granted the maximum rate of compensation allow able in respect of his invaliding, for a disability not attributable to the service, and for the injury sustained by him in 1912. The absence of his medical history sheet has in no way prejudiced the man's claim to pension, as a complete record of the illnesses and injuries sustained by him during his entire service has been compiled at the Admiralty from the medical returns rendered periodically by the medical officers of the ships and establishments in which he served.
