§ Captain PEAKEasked the Secretary for Mines whether any and, if so, what alterations have taken place in the hours worked and the wages paid in coal mines in the principal coal-producing countries of Europe, other than Great Britain, since the publication of the Report of the International Labour Office relating thereto?
§ Mr. TURNERI am informed that the International Labour Office will shortly issue a further report on wages and hours of work in the coal mining industry on similar lines to those of the Report to which the hon. and gallant Member refers. Pending the issue of this report I have had a provisional statement prepared from such information as is at present available and I am sending the hon. and gallant Member a copy.
