§ Mr. LEES-SMITHThe fusion of cable and wireless interests has involved a number of successive steps. The merger company (Cables and Wireless Ltd.) and the communications company (Imperial and International Communications Ltd.) were formally incorporated on 8th April last; and the main agreements 1129W were signed or initialled on 29th May by representatives of the companies concerned and of the Governments which took part in the Conference of 1928.
