§ Mr. CLYNESThe number varied from day to day, the maximum number employed on the course being 491. Their cost was borne wholly by the racecourse authorities, no part of it falling on the Metropolitan Police Fund. The figure I have given does not, of course include constables engaged in regulating traffic to and from the course.
