Mr. GUINNESSWith assistance from the Empire Marketing Fund, the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research has secured the lease of a site at Aberdeen suitable for a fish research station. Two buildings already in existence on the site are being adapted by His Majesty's Office of Works for use as laboratories for research on the preservation of fish and of fish by-products until experience has shown the requirements of a permanent building. Plans for the necessary cold store and other adjuncts are being made in consultation with His Majesty's Office of Works and with due regard to later developments.
